FAQs

What’s the weather like in Sedona in September?

Sedona in mid-September typically has warm days and cooler evenings, with average highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. September is one of those months that can be unpredictable and we recommend checking the weather closer to the date for maximum preparedness. We also recommend bringing layers for the evening.

What's the dress code?

Semi-formal - which means dress nicely. The desert gets really cold after the sun goes down (temperature drops by 15-20 degrees) so keep that in mind.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be mixed, so plan accordingly for the weather.

What’s the best airport to fly into?

Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) is the nearest major airport, about a two-hour drive from Sedona. Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG) is a smaller option, about 45 minutes away.

Where should we stay?

We have a room block reserved at Sky Rock Sedona. Visit the Travel page for more details. There are also many great boutique hotels, resorts, and Airbnbs in the area.

Is transportation provided to the venue?

We will not be providing shuttles. Parking is available at Agave of Sedona. However, we encourage you to stay in our room block at Sky Rock Sedona as it is less than 50 feet from the venue. Unfortunately using Uber/Lyft is not an option as cars are extremely limited and ridiculously expensive.

Will there be an open bar?

Obviously.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Only if your invitation is addressed to "Your Name" and "Guest".

Can I bring my kids?

We love your kids as much as we love you but unfortunately, we are extremely limited on space. Unless we have spoken to you directly regarding your child's participation in our ceremony, please consider making alternative arrangements. We have booked a baby sitter for the night of our ceremony to help wrangle the youngin's while the adults party with us. reach out to Emily if you are interested in this service.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony—please turn off phones and cameras so you can enjoy the moment with us. Photos are welcome at the reception. We promise to share the photos with you following our big day.
